Within our area of expertise, BEERG provides open and “in-house” training programmes, briefings and workshops, all of which are of a highly practical nature. We prefer to work with smaller groups so that individuals can benefit from personal attention and discuss the specific issues that matter to them.

Our work with individual companies ranges from executive briefings to presentations at major conferences. Our executive briefings are designed for individual, senior executives, or for small groups of such executives, and focus on global employee relations issues or on particular issues in specific countries. We can assist, where appropriate, with the training of employees’ representatives on EWCs and/or national-level information and consultation bodies and those managers who work with them.

We also offer our open events large companies on an “in-house” basis – either as set piece programmes or as a shorter contribution to an existing HR conference.

Among our training offerings are:

  • Managing European Employee Relations, a public programme run twice a year in Sitges, Barcelona.
  • Understanding European Works Councils, an in-house briefing for companies within the scope of the EWC Directive but which have not yet set up an EWC.
  • Negotiating Skills for HR Professionals, an in-house programme designed to assist client companies develop the necessary negotiating skills to handle either labour relations negotiations or general, day-to-day negotiations such as negotiating an employment contract with a new employee, a severance package with a departing executive or an agreement with a service provider.
  • In association with the HR Policy Association we run a series of programs on labour relations issues in Asia and Latin America.
